Dr. Nida Khan

Nida Khan is currently working as the CTO in OneAgrix, a B2B e-commerce platform that leverages on blockchain for food traceability. She was ranked as the 12th most influential woman in Islamic business and finance in 2019. Prior to OneAgrix, she was working as a doctoral researcher in the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), University of Luxembourg. The research proposal by her won the prestigious FNR grant, given by the government of Luxembourg for innovative industrial projects. She has worked on research projects related to the use of blockchain in social finance, decentralized finance, micropayments and donation. She is credited with the development of a new blockchain consensus mechanism called FAST for high-performance blockchains. She was a team member of Masdin, an associate team between the University of Luxembourg and Inria, France for management of software-defined infrastructure during her PhD research. Her past achievements include developing pioneering smartphone apps for the Islamic finance industry. Her work appears in diverse publications and she speaks regularly on emerging technologies.
